1) What is your main reason for cosplaying/being a photographer?
I have loved taking pictures since I can remember. I just have so much fun framing images; I do it in my head. It's something I only do for fun, so I never invested a lot of money in it, but I think I do ok with what I have. As for cosplay, I am a theater kid and have always adored getting dressed up.
2) Worst convention you've been to?
Hm... I actually don't think I've ever not had a good time at a convention! Objectively speaking... NYCC get's so crowded and the Masquerade line is such a mess, that it can be kind of awful at times... Yet I love the con and still plan to go back for as long as I can ^-^;
3) Favorite item that you own?
Um... Hm. Can it be a tie between my camera and my Harry Potter books?
4) Favorite type of denim? flare/skinny/bootcut/etc?
Flares! I can't wear skinny, lol.
5) Have you ever had a haircut you hated?
I'm always kind of safe with my haircuts. I suppose I should try something different, but I probably won't out of fear that I'll hate it. XD
6) Your favorite con/annual event to attend?
The two cons I attend regularly are NYCC and AnimeNEXT and I love both! I would love to make D*C annual, but it's a bit too pricey, so maybe every ther year. <3
7) If there was any craft you could learn, what would it be?
Sewing. XD
8) Which website do you visit the most?
Facebook and Tumblr.

2012 State of the Autumn
What a year 2012 has been! My first full year out of school, but I took two courses in Photoshop, had my first internship, and I think life in general has been teaching me a lot-- both good and bad. I went to fewer conventions than I did in 2012, but that was always the plan. I pretty much stuck to my projected schedule from last year, apart from throwing in a day at MangaNEXT which was only about a half hour from my house. I'm sad there won't be a MangaNEXT this year, actually. While it was a very small convention, I got to see friends I don't often get to spend time with and I made some new and wonderful friends (HI DARLENE! HI ROSS!) plus

2011 State of the Autumn
This year has been a crazy ride. I graduated college with honors! I also saw more cons than I've ever seen since I started going to conventions back in 2008! By the end of November I will have attended Anime Boston, AnimeNEXT, ConnectiCon, Dragon*Con, New York Comic Con/Anime Festival, and Anime USA, all in one year. Most of these events were firsts for me!
I've met great people, made wonderful friends, and made huge progress on my "Level 100" photography project; climbing from the 7 characters I had at the end of 2010, to 29 characters! And the year isn't over yet. I've also been writing convention reports for Jolt Photography, an effort wh

Well, You've Got Character: Level 100 is slowly but surely coming along. I am now 10% done and I'm hoping that with summer and convention season upon us I'll make some nice progress in the next few months. With AnimeNEXT coming up fast, I'm looking to schedule cosplay shoots for the project, so if you or someone you know might be interested, I'll see if we can get together and find a suitable backdrop for your cosplay at the convention. :) If you are interested in participating, please contact me and let me know so I can plan accordingly. :D I'm really excited for this convention!

1) What is your most ridiculous con experience?
Ridiculous? Hmm...I'm gonna go with it in the positive sense. There was Tandokucon 2007 where I went with only one goal, to meet a voice actor I liked, and he was literally standing inside the door doing nothing. He talked with me for fifteen minutes and gave me a huge hug, and called me by name every time he saw me in a panel all weekend. Then, at a con two years later, I was dressed as one of his characters, and I felt my arm being grabbed as a small group of people rushed by, looked up, and he was going "FAI. You look AMAZING!" and I was so shocked I forgot he already knew me/was friends with me on Facebook. xD I also manage to run into him without planning to at least twice every con that I attend, where he also is. So my strange con talent is being able to locate Vic Mignogna even when I'm not looking for him...
2) Ever met someone famous?
Yes! Just a couple. I met Sean Astin, aka Samwise Gamgee from LotR and I still can't believe it happened. I also met Stephenie Meyer about a month after New Moon (the book) came out when only 40 or so people would show up to her book signings. I'm also good buddies with a lot of voice actors and directors.
3) What's your favorite convention?
Katsucon, I think! c:
4) What is your dream photoshoot?
I've done a few already, actually! But my latest dream photoshoot is recreating the flash movie "Seer: Descend" from Homestuck, as Grimdark!Rose, with a John on a roof somewhere. c:
5) What is your dream cosplay?
I've actually done a couple already! Fai D. Flourite, Nia Teppelin (Wedding), Rosette Christopher (several versions), CR-S01. But my new dream cosplay that I plan to tackle at Otakon is Astharoshe Asran from Trinity Blood.
6) What's your favorite season?
Fall! <3

Tie among Aladdin, Beauty & the Beast, and Tangled.
